This lovely soup bowl made of lacquer is usually used for soup. This is quite the standard size bowl for miso soup. Red on the inside and black on the outside with lovely traditional dark pink and gold colored traditional plum flower pattern on the outside of the bowl. Get it in a set .. and it is made in japan and not microwavable. At $2.30 a bowl, it is affordable.. and cute.
Beauty In The Eye Of The Beholder
That was what everyone said.. to comfort the girl who never got a date for her prom dance .. when I was still in school. It can be quite hard to be a teenager .. and to be a teenager.. who have acne problem.. now that must be even harder. I wished everyone knew about a natural acne treatment that is not only affordable.. but effective.. and of course.. all natural. Now wouldn’t that be awesome..!
Baby Shower For My Japanese Buddy
Yes.. i have quite a few japanese buddies.. and we are all still very much in contact with each other. I know that they would love crib bedding for their baby shower.. because japanese just loves cute and quality stuff. So for all my girlfriends’ baby shower.. i always buy them crib bedding.
Snow Castle In Hokkaido

I love Hokkaido .. and winter can be seen with people flocking in an outdoor hot spring. The japanese loves their hot springs.. if you don’t know by now and most of them have the most spectacular view of snowy mountains or icy lakes. And when it is snowing.. it is just like heaven but i guess once you are in a place that has got winter for 6 months.. you just might not find it that fabulous.
Hokkaido has loads of beautiful scenery and natural wonders to offer the tourists. Visit their two national parks - Daisetsuzan and Akan National Park .. and you will see what i mean by spectacular scenery. The beautiful lakes in Akan National Park is very famous.
Hokkaido is great for skiers and snowboarders during winter. The Sapporo Snow Fest is very famous for it snow and ice sculptures, all gigantic in structure.. and definitely a work of art. Traveling by car is prolly the best way in Hokkaido but in order to drive in japan.. i hear you’ve gotta get a special license…and all. Fines are also very steep in Japan.. so it is not really worth traveling by car. .. going by train.. seems to be how most ppl are traveling around and to Hokkaido. Taxis is a no-no in Japan.. they are way too expensive. Subways are aplenty.. and walking is another good resource around Hokkaido.
Staying Fit The Japanese Way
The Japanese are all very healthy people .. and the diet they keep is even more healthier. Alot of fish.. and tofu.. and soupy udon and ramens. And because in the west .. alot of westerners don’t know the goodness of eating all these, I find that some may be alot heavier than they should be. But no worries.. for folks like them.. they should try Phentermine which is said to be pretty effective. But one should always check with your family doctor before taking anything over the counter.
Buying A NoteBook In Japan
When I was in Japan for holiday.. there was a street full of electronic stuff.. and i’ll have to say.. i was really fascinated by the things they had there. I was so tempted to get a notebook that was so thin.. and so advance at that time except that it needed more memory , and if only they had the keyboard in English.. i was sure i would have bought it. Well, you know everything in japan is in japanese… even the cellphones.. that were paper thin.. and paper weigh .. if only.. they had it all in english…!
Kyoto Imperial Palace (Kyoto Gosho)

Imperial Throne of Shishinden
The Kyoto Imperial Palace (Kyoto Gosho) was used by the Imperial family until 1868 but the emperor moved the capital were moved from Kyoto to Tokyo. Located at the Imperial Park, the palace burnt down.. and was moved to the city. Long walls and several gates, hall and gardens sees the enthronement of Emperors Taisho and Showa.
We were on a guided tour to the place held and coordinated by the Imperial Household agency. Donch forget you need to apply for permission in advance with your passport before you are granted a tour at the Kyoto Imperial Palace. And yes.. they have English tours too.
Shopping With My Japanese Friend
Shopping with my Japanese girlfriend is definitely an eye-opener for me. It’s as if they don’t cost money .. and most of them shop with cash. Have you seen anyone going to a branded handbag shop .. and coming out with 3 - 5 handbags..?? I have..!! You see the japanese believes in paying for quality… and not quantity. Even their luggages are from Rimowa, and you and I know that they don’t come cheaply.
The Aging Generation In Japan
In Japan, medical jewelry are a very common thing for the older folks. In fact, I’ve seen many wearing them .. during my vacation in Japan. I wished they make everyone with a medical condition wear one too. .so that their loved ones don’t have to worry about them constantly.
Memoirs Of A Geisha

I read this book a few years ago.. by Arthur Golden. It was a really interesting read.. and better than the movie. It is funny how Golden said.. that Geishas are not prostitute.. yet in his book, it protrays a story of a young Geisha .. who became a lover of her client..?? There is a mixture of truth.. and fiction it seems in this book. And to some.. they portray being a Geisha as a high class thing .. but to others.. they think not.
In Golden’s book .. Memoirs of A Geisha, it talks about a fisherman daughters.. from a little town called Yoroido. Chiyo who was sold with her sister to slavery becomes Sayuri and entertaining men she did after suffering alot of hardship. It also talks about the cruel owner and her training and the evil Granny and Mother .. who took all her earnings. It’s pretty interesting.. to read.. and if you are like me.. who loves everything japanese.. you would definitely be able to finish the story book within days.
