Japan Suicide Rate

A 15-year-old girl died after falling from the staircase landing on the fourth floor of an apartment building in Miki City on Wednesday, in what is believed to be a suicide. Police said emergency services received a call at about 4 p.m. saying that a girl had fallen to the ground. An ambulance rushed to the scene and took her to hospital, but she was pronounced dead due to her severe head injuries.

The girl was identified as a first-year high school girl who lived in Miki City. Police said that her shoes were lined up on the staircase landing, and that her bag and bicycle were left on the first floor outside the building.

According to staff at the high school, the girl attended their entrance ceremony on April 8 and attended school each day until Wednesday. They said she appeared to be doing fine and showed no signs of any problems.

I hear that suicide rate is high in Japan.  If one don’t get into university.. they can kill themselves too.  Not even appetite suppression can help those who don’t want to help themselves but rather take their own lives.
