Reliving Japan

Somethings I miss a lot about Japan.  Thought I would share it with you.

My favorite place in Tokyo .. the Ginza is a must to visit.  It is Tokyo’s most famous upmarket shopping center and your dining and entertainment district.  You can find all sorts of things here.. from digital cameras , electronic store to restaurants, art galleries.. night clubs, cafes .. and of course Macdonalds. It is very expensive to rent a shop front in this area.  Expect to pay as much as $10 per cup of coffee here.

Tokyo’s Eiffel Tower is actually just Tokyo Tower. I was a little amused with it.. when a Japanese co worker tricked me into believeing that he had a special binoculars to see Eiffel Tower from Japan.  Of course, i didn’t believe him.. but he was so insistent, i was just trying to be polite.  The Tokyo Tower is actually an observation and communication tower. Located in Shiba Park in Tokyo.  It is actually taller than the Eiffel Tower and tourist and locals from other prefecture visits the Tokyo Tower when they are opened.  Now where the tower is.. there is a 4 story building located just below .. that houses restaurants, shops and even a museum.  The Tokyo Tower has two observation decks..  and yes.. you have to pay for it.

Tokyo At Nite

Missed the vibrant evenings in Tokyo and 9 yrs in Canada is definitely getting to me.  Here there is nothing  much to do or see, wherelse in Tokyo, plenty to do -eat, drink and be merry.

If the standard of living wasn’t so high in Japan, I may consider moving there and opening an electronic store but the rent can kill in tokyo, japan.

This picture was taken like at 10.30pm.. over here .. at 9pm.. the streets are dead.  I definitely see and feel the difference.   Next up .. theme restaurants.

New & Yummy Japanese Snacks

I’ll have to say that the Japanese makes the best snacks.. in the world. They are worth every penny you pay for them.. because they are made of quality ingredients, unlike the China products or the products from the West.  But like all Japanese products even the  sd flash memory that I had bought, the ones made in Japan were far better quality .. than the ones make elsewhere.  Service is impeccable.. and you rarely see rude sales men.. or ppl.  Gotta love Japan.

Curry Udon Made Easy

Who doesn’t love the Japanese udon right.  As is.. they are already so easy to make.. but now.. it’s gotten even easier.. in a bottle.   So quick to make.. and just pour.. and you have curry udon in a few ..  :)

Shopping At Asakusa

The “old” Tokyo if you are looking for is here, there is also a temple in Asakusa and the first place i was brought to for shopping was here.. and not the Ginza.  It always almost seems like it is full of ppl .. and you can see lots of tourist buses here.  There is also a famous temple in Asakusa.. and it’s called… the Sensoji Temple.  Like the shopping places in Asakusa, this temple is also filled with ppl .. so be prepared.. because even if the weather was cold elsewhere.. you might be a bit warm.. from the so many ppl around.

Japanese Burger + Donut

I told yer.. trust the Japan to come up with the funkiest thing.  Recently introduced is the Mos Burger in a donut.  Hehehe!!!  wanna try some..?? well if you are like me.. and love the Mos burgers .. you would like this one too.. but i hear it is the same as a normal burger except that it has got a hole in it.  The price is the same… and for novelty sake.. i would definitely try one. .the next time.. i’m in Japan.

there you have it.. a friend sent this pic to me

Although Mosdo, the partnership between Japanese chains Mos Burger and Mister Donut, has been around since last year, they never truly married their main offerings to make a doughnut burger. Until now.

Stunning

A cherry tree that lies on Koiwai farm in Shizukuishi Town, located in Iwate Japan. What makes this tree so amazing is that is it’s alone with a stunning view of Mt.Iwate behind it. It has been featured in dramas and in news events.

Revolving Lantern

This revolving lantern is actually a cultural property .. funny some ppl still donch know about it.  Once upon a time.. it has gotta be famous  .. since the King of Holland was asked to dedicated it.  Design by a Dutchman.

PR Cats Don’t Like Each Other

PR Cats are supposedly to be friendly mascot but not these ones.  Maybe they are guarding their territory..?? PR gone wrong..??  cat for Kichigahara station and cat for bus sation of Aizu Ashinomaki Onsen didn’t seems to like each other at all.. during the recent PR event.

Cats had to be kept away from each other by bus station employees.
