Hair Cuts In Japan

If you think that getting your hair cut in Japan is gonna be very expensive.. then you think right.. but the Barber shops that are everywhere.. is the place that i see my co-workers go to.. when i was living in Japan. They are easy to find.. and just about everywhere. Sure you can go for the trendy salons and you can’t missed it .. because they are usually bright.. and very hip…. but you end up paying like 4500 yen to 6000 yen easily for just a simple hair. So if you want cheap and quick.. head for the barber.. they are like 1000 yen.. and they are pretty much like the barbers back home.
Fish Market In Japan

Truth be told.. i’m not into any kind of fish market .. be it in Tokyo.. or other parts of Japan.. but my g/fs.. well, they all loved to see the fish market.. as you can see here. There are just about any kind of fish.

We also got some to try .. while visiting.

This is one in Tokyo .. I think it is called the Tsukiji.
Japanese Food Never Been Faster

Where..?? in Japan of course.. !!! faster than any colon cleanse review and it came the fastest ever .. serving really decent food. I timed their promised to serve within 45 seconds of ordering your food. Going into Yoshinoya was like going to a football game with the ra-ra team and pomp pomp gals. You can feel the vibrant .. but on days where you wanna have a quiet lunch.. well lets just say this may not be the place for you. I love the beef on rice and the green tea was free - for about $5 - i had a good meal. There are many branches all over Japan, check it out.

Unagi Sushi

While the rest of the world served pathetic looking unagi sushi to everyone, you can find the best only in Japan. Unagi is freshwater eel if you do not know by now - and it has gotta be the best ever grilled thing in the world. Served with a piece of sushi (japanese rice) - it is heaven to eat it like that. I never liked them with a bowl of rice, i just think it spoils the taste - i love the kabayaki sauce .. but not too much please.
Speciality Kit Kat

Special flavored kit kat is the in thing in Japan. Trust the Japanese to come up with all sorts of flavor… from kiwi flavor to cherry and watermelon from last year.. and more. For about $3 - you can get a sweet piece of kit kat with different flavors - enjoy.
Bento Lunches

Bento lunches are not only the in thing in Japan but all over the world. From Malaysia to Singapore to USA and also the Netherlands. Friends wants me to bring back all sorts of bento stuff when I was living in Japan and some even asked me to mail them the bento stuff. Well some asked for beauty stuff like wrinkle cream and stuff you cannot get any wheres but in Japan. But ppl pack bento lunches not only because they are way cheaper for meal alternative in Japan.. they are also so pretty. You can prepare it pretty much in just 15 mins.. once you have all your food ready.. and you can use a little bit of your creativity .. and walah.. you have a before bento box to show off.
Japan’s Favorite Noodles

One of japan’s favorite type of way to eat one’s noodles is cold noodles. I prefer the buckwheat noodles .. but they sometimes come in udon style ..but thinner than the kind of udon i get back home. All you need to do is to take it out after it is cold.. and put them in ice water.. and serve them cold. Dip the noodles that doesn’t have any taste at all into a special mixed soya sauce, mixed with some mirin. Most Japanese take them as a light meal .. or even a snack .. i love something like that to go with my sashimi. Makes the most perfect and healthy meal.
Grocery Stores In Japan

You’ve gotta love the convenience of being able to get your fish in your friendly neighbourhood convenient store and plus the price is awesome. No wonder the Japanese has such good complexion and good health eh. I know none of my friends needed acne treatments while they were there for sure.

You can even find fish stuffed with eggs in it.. at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, for some of us.. they also have pizza with loads of mayo in them.. and that is horrid isn’t it. I can’t stomach the mayo they have in just about everything.. even some of thei sushi - now that’s just so wrong.

Now this is what i really call a convenient store.. you can cook your entire meal from this store.. without having to go to the city. These tiny fishes are great for grilling over your charcoal stove at home.
Beauty School In Japan

Handsome eh..?? but that is Tony Tanaka io heard..! so if he looked so handsome in his front poster at his beauty school.. that must say something about his school right..?? Well, a Japanese friend of mine told me this beauty school kicks ass.. :) Someone check it out .. and let me know.
Ice Cream In Your Ramen

I thought i should share this unique ramen store with all of you. I was there.. many years ago.. but i don’t know if they still exist. But it’s funny .. when you think about it.. coz’ how do one eat ice cream with your piping hot ramen right..? Located near the Kitasenjyu Station in Tokyo about 15 mins walk away is this speciality ramen store called Kikuya.

Interesting eh..? Expect to find your Vanilla ice cream ramen or chocolate ramen here and other favorites as well. They have the Green Tea Ramen my favorite.. and please try to go in the summer.. because it’s like a limited seasonalk thing i heard. At 500Yen a bowl, it is quite costly eh.
Other items on the menu include white ramen (yogurt), red ramen (tomato), natto ramen, milk ramen, hot cocoa ramen, pork kimchi ramen, and other crazy combinations.
