American Ice Cream In Japan

There are Baskin Robbins in Japan but the Japanese don’t called it Baskin Robins - they called it the 31 ice cream - hhaha! funny eh! As of July 2010, Baskin Robbins opened its 1000 store in Japan - lots eh! Since it’s Baskin Robbins in Japan - you can expect red bean and green tea flavors in their 31 different flavor of ice cream they offer in Japan. Tokyo Dome City and Azuba is the place we usually get our Baskin Robbins ice cream - so if you are in Japan and miss your American ice cream - you can check out Baskin Robbins.
Camping In Japan

If you are thinking that the Japanese don’t go camping - then you are wrong. My girlfriend from USA who teaches in Japan - Osaka - tells me a different story on her FB. Although Japanese camping van is different from the RV that we are used to in the States and Canada - they do have rv towing in Japan as well. The Japanese are very adventurous people and they love the outdoors and goes camping and hiking all the time and they love exploring the hot water springs.

Plus some places are absolutely beautiful to explore - like the beautiful southern island in Osaka. Palm trees and beautiful weather most times in Japan - calls for a lot of outdoorsy adventures if anyone care for it.

Band On Airplane

Actually i read about this on Japan news a few weeks ago - and then a friend reminded me about it today - so I thought some who are fans of Arashi band would love seeing their idols on the Arashi Jet when they are flying on domestic flights. It is said that Japan Airlines which is undergoing some sort of restructuring due to financial woes are getting help from the band to boost business. The Arashi jet is actually Boeing 777 and the images of the band is on the plane with the title of their latest album - how corny? Only domestic flights folks - so if you are leaving to Osaka - yes! chances on going on the Arashi Jet is possible.
A Balanced Japanese Diet

This can be found in Japan in a regular cafe - now you see why the Japanese don’t need fat burners while I do? While the Japanese girls have avocados in their burgers we have meat patties in ours. In fact, the more the merrier the meat ! sure my japanese friends eat a lot of sweets but they also eat a lot of fish - now you see why I can’t lose the weight ever since coming to Canada.!! I need to lose some weight and the food here in Canada sure doesn’t help. When I was living in Japan for 6 months - i never had to worry about fat burners or exercising - there was absolutely no fat in the raw fishes that i ate and even if they had fats - they were good fats - so i was told. I so need to move to Japan!
Chawanmushi

Chawanmushi is my favorite Japanese dish. As simple as it might seems to look.. it’s not..! i tried to cook it at home.. but it didn’t turned out the way i want. A japanese restaurant that doesn’t serve chawanmushi is not a japanese restaurant. It can be a canadian - japanese restaurant.. but not a true japanese restaurant.. if you know what i mean. Chawamushi is steamed egg custard in a cup or a tea bowl. I has gingko nuts in it.. egg mixture, soya sauce, dashi and mirin and shiitake mushrooms boiled shrimp and is eaten as an appetizer. I only eat them hot.
A Japanese Girl Beauty Regimen

I’ve asked my Japanese friends how their girlfriends and wife look so good all the time? We all know that Japanese women have beautiful smooth skin and silky hair - and are always known to have porcelain skin. What is it that the Japanese women do - that we do not know of? What kind of products do they use to remove dark circles ? or keep their skin so soft and smooth?
I can’t see us taking any less care of our skin - but yet - when you compare your skin with a Japanese woman - you definitely can see the difference. Is it the raw fishes they eat everyday? or the air in Japan is better? Maybe is the Azuki beans that they love so much? But yes - my Japanese friends tells me that the women do have a beauty regimen they follow - what it is - they can’t tell me - but I’ll be sure to find out for you in the next post.
Ice Cream Scallop

No way ! i hear you screaming but way to go - Japan! they do have dried scallops as snacks commonly sold around Japan - so why not scallop flavored ice cream. Some friends who were with me tried and and loved it and while you are at it - try the squid flavored ones.
Trendy Japanese Girls

Every Japanese girls that I’ve come across are not only trendy but definitely one of the most well dressed people in the world. But how we all envy their slim bodies and their hair. My friends from the West are always in awe when it comes to seeing pictures of my japanese girlfriends - they have waist of 23 and so beautifully trendy. Sometimes, my friends from Canada would joke that Japan must have the top weight loss supplements that they are keeping a secret from the rest of the world, else how do girls stay so slim yet eat the way they do. But I too envy - because when I was this young - i didn’t look that good - nor weigh so little. If I could turn the clock back - I would definitely have done things differently. Even though people say it’s what inside that counts most - it’s not exactly true - men do look for the pretty and slim girls - as compared to the best chubby friend of hers.
Port Of Kobe

We were at the Port of Kobe taking a day cruise on a friend’s boat. We got thru’ custom without any problems - it was a breeze.

The day was cool and sunny - we were on the deck most of the time.

We went under the longest suspension bridge - Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.
