Petite Women In Japan

Fascinated by the petite women in Japan - my best friend from here asked me if the sensa reviews she read were for a fact. You see she wanted to lose those extra pounds for ages now and when she saw how a friend she got to know in Japan who swears by sensa - she wanted my opinion on it too. And yes, the Japanese ladies are a lot more petite than us - and you’ve really got to envy that - and not only they are petite - slim and beautiful - they do have nicer skin than us too. Why is that so? rumors has it that it’s the sashimi and the sushi they eat everyday - in fact - I love sushi and sashimi a lot too - but my skin and everything else don’t look like the Japanese woman - so if you’ve read about the Sensa reviews - please let me know how it worked out for you.
Japanese Vegan Restaurant

There were not many vegan restaurant in Japan when I lived there - but a hong kong show that I’m watching right now about Japanese vegan food reminded me of this one right in the center of the business district in Tokyo and they do serve pretty good vegan food, with no butter, no milk and no egg. Pretty vegan by my standards. And the place is really clean like most Japanese eatery - and I think they used green cleaning products - the owners explained to my Japanese co-workers who was there with me.
I don’t know if you noticed when you watch Japanese drama on J-TV - but all Japanese homes, restaurants and even small cafe are the cleanest and truth be told - most of them are into green cleaning products and all about saving the earth and the environment. The girlfriend who is still living in Japan told me that these days - you can find vegan restaurant everywhere in Japan - one even have a yoga studio together with the cafe. They sell both holistic stuff in their store as well as green products. The next time I am in Tokyo I will have to visit this yoga/vegan cafe.
Tully’s Yummy Mocha

I do like Tully’s - in fact when staying in Japan for 6 months - I loved Tully’s mocha so much - I needed the best diet pills for women because I was so addicted to it. I never used to like sweet stuff - but Japan has all their desserts and drinks ultra sweet but they are super yummy - so you can’t blame me for putting on weight - when I was in Japan. I think I must have put on closed to 10Ibs - when I was there.

While some Japanese swears by Starbucks - I prefer Tully’s - but ‘m assuming the Japanese love Starbucks because it’s an American franchise plus they had the first wifi cafe and then everyone followed suit. Luckily, I’m no longer in Japan - because nothing could have stopped me from getting a yummy mocha - drizzled with chocolate sauce.
Shopping In Japan For Beauty Products

Shopping in Japan for beauty products can actually tickle one - they do come out with the queerest things - from tape and scrub for your blackhead remover or lifting your lips product or for double eyelids - or no pain hair removal. Don’t get me wrong - they are cheap - and they are colorful and like every women out there - we did buy some to try. Lets just say - I would want a better blackhead remover than the ones I got from Japan - but they were cute to have and cheap. They also have this cheek guide that you can use to guide yourself when you are blushing your cheeks - pretty funny eh.

And the nose clip that claims that can lift up your nose - hahahah!!! so yes! need blackhead remover - please check out the real stuff.
Hot Tubbing In Japan

I love hot tubbing in Japan - and although they don’t have the kind of hot tubs we have here in the West - theirs are the traditional hot tubs - that has its own hot tub covers and the water is really, really hot. I could only do like 10 minutes in this hot tub unlike the ones back home with jets and all where you can get a good massage. Hot tubbing in Japan is free with the hotel that you stay with - but some hot tubbing requires that you go naked with an entire group of women - and i mean really stark naked - so it can be quite embarrassing. So I prefer a private hot tubbing session - and often wonder if they do change their water - since everyone’s body is different. But I guess the water is so hot - even if there were germs - they would probably be cooked. Have you gone for any hot tubbing in Japan?
American Car In Japan

Someone asked me if there were American cars in Japan and yes ! there is - I’ve seen even a Harley in Japan many a times. But like out American things - I think you need to import them and they are not cheap at all. Are American cars popular in Japan ? I don’t really think so - because cars like Toyota and Mitsubishi are just as popular then - now I don’t really know though since I haven’t gone back to Japan for a long time. But yes! my girlfriend insisted on a PT cruiser when she had her twins - her husband - Taka - imported the car from America for her before she gave birth to the twins. During her baby shower - the new American car was presented to her by her spouse and she was so excited - she couldn’t sleep for a few nights. It was unbelievable that her spouse would go thru’ so much trouble to make her happy - she said - I think she couldn’t sleep because she had mixed feelings - happy and feeling guilty - altogether - if she wasn’t pregnant - she said she would have taken some sleeping pills - because when she did finally sleep - she slept for a good 16 hrs. Poor girl!
Keeping Healthy In Japan

I lived in Japan for 6 months - and lucky for me - in my 6 months there - I never had to visit the hospital - else I would have a rude awakening like what my girlfriend seems to think was ridiculous - tipping the doctors. While many said that the Japan health system is less expensive and produces more results than the States - many also believe in taking care of themselves by taking supplementary such as acetyl l carnitine dosage while they are in Japan - working.
I heard that the average resident in Japan visits the hospital 14 times a year - as compared to any western cities like the States and Canada. Although it is free too here in Canada - medication is not - so if i were smart - and living abroad - I would definitely continue taking an effective supplement to keep me healthy. And since Japan is a country coming to an old age - i think supplement like the Acetyl may just be great for them - no need for prescription i heard - and can be bought at those bodybuilding stores.
Garyu Umami Soba

One of my most favorite food while staying in Japan is this soba - it’s rich, it’s sinful but definitely yummy! There are times whereby I eat them everyday for a week - I can’t get enough of the soup and the fatty meat that comes with the soba. But you can choose to have it with ramen if you want but I prefer the soba.

When you go into this soba cafe - you won’t think it is a Japanese cafe - because of all the jazzy stuff in it and the entire store is decorated with nothing but American R & B, Jazz and Soul memorabilia. Pretty cool if you asked me and the noodles excellent! Located in Daitabashi - you can’t miss this black/grey exterior.
Hot Spring In Hokkaido

To get to the hot spring in Hokkaido, you just have to take an hour and 35 mins train from 1h 35 min from Haneda to Asahikawa Airport. And since we are already in Hokkaido - we might as well check out the hot spring at Sounkyo. We took the ropeway - just like everyone else - a kinda ski cable - but please don’t jump out before you reach mountain eh. The Sounkyo hot spring is just after the first mountain - you can’t missed it.
An Aging Japan

We’ve all heard about the aging society in Japan and how the japan government and the doctors in every clinic recommends calcium supplement for those not only aging but those who are in their late 30s. I wished they recommend supplements like this in West too because calcium is very important for the bones. And as you grow older - your bones become more fragile and brittle - easily broken or crack when you take a fall. I know so - because each time - my grandparents take a fall - they end up in the hospital for some broken bones. So it’s not only for the Japanese people folks - take your calcium supplement daily now - I am!
